About
LECA is a light, porous, entirely mineral granule produced by firing clay in a rotary kiln at around 1,200 °C. It reduces structural dead load, insulates, and stays chemically stable — at the same time.
The same material trades under several names — expanded clay aggregate, lightweight expanded clay aggregate, LECA — and they all mean this one product. Arta Leca produces it to standard grading ranges.
Products
Each grade is optimised for a specific duty by grain fraction and bulk density.
Applications
From structural lightweight concrete to geotechnical fill and growing media — every application specifies a different grade.
Quality control
Every production shift is tested in the plant laboratory for grading, loose bulk density, water absorption and crushing resistance. Results are retained per batch, and a certificate of analysis is issued with each consignment at loading.
Completed projects
A selection of works supplied with Arta Leca aggregate.
